SMALL FACES: The pre-worldwide-fame days of the Red Hot Chili Peppers are being chronicled in “Out in L.A.,” a collection of early recordings, including previously unreleased live and demo tracks and remixes. The EMI album is due in stores Oct. 4. . . . Annie Lennox is at work on her second post-Eurythmics album, due in early ’95. . . .
Anita Baker is putting plans together for her first concert tour in four years, tentatively set to begin on the West Coast in December. . . . Look for the second album by female R&B; trio SWV to be in stores in December. . . . Kirsty MacColl has recorded a duet with the Lemonheads’ Evan Dando, which will be among the new tracks included on “Galore,” a MacColl “best of” album due Oct. 18. . . .
Cypress Hill has finished four songs for its next album, due early next year, with a tour planned to follow. . . . The first live album from John Hiatt--with the cheeky title “Hiatt Comes Alive at Budokan”--is due in November, with one previously unreleased song among the 17 tracks.
