PETALUMA--Artists gather for the 37th annual Art-in-the-Park, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sept. 10-11. The fund-raiser for Petaluma Art Assn.’s Art in the Schools Program is in Walnut Park, Petaluma Boulevard South and D Street. Free. (707) 763-3586.
BISHOP--The third annual Millpond Traditional Music Festival, an eclectic celebration of American culture, is Sept. 16-18. Storytellers, arts and crafts and a kids’ fishing clinic are among the offerings Friday night and Saturday-Sunday at the Millpond Recreational Area. $40, adult weekend ticket (in advance); $45 at the gate; $25, one-day ticket (Saturday or Sunday). $20, student weekend ticket (ages 13-18); under 13 free. SOLVANG--Denmark’s culture from the Renaissance to the present is showcased at Danish Days, Sept. 16-18 in the village area. There’s a Velkommen Dance at 7 p.m. Friday. Festivities all day Saturday-Sunday include Danish food, arts and crafts, music and dance and “Gademaling” or chalk art on the street, depicting scenes from Denmark. (805) 688-0701.

SANTA BARBARA--Automotive treasures are featured at the 18th annual Santa Barbara Concours d’Elegance, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sept. 17. “Salute to Vintage Mercedes-Benz” is the theme of the event, a competition with 200 classic and antique cars.
