Gurney Wins Senior PBA Title

Barry Gurney of West Hills rolled a 255 in the championship game of the Naples Senior PBA Open Tuesday night in Naples, Fla., defeating top-seeded Richard Beattie of Dearborn, Mich., by 40 pins to earn $10,000 and the second victory of his career.

Gurney opened the game with six consecutive strikes after rolling five strikes in a 256-227 defeat of Edmond, Okla., resident Gary Dickinson in the semifinals.
