Remy, from South Pasadena High, has spent this season running with the leaders. In four races, she was no worse than fourth. She had her best finish this season Saturday when she was second out of 102 runners at the Crystal Springs Invitational in San Mateo. She covered the three-mile course in 18 minutes 34 seconds. Rachael Hawtin of City College of San Francisco won the race in 18:15. Remy will be among the favorites at the Irvine Invitational Friday at Irvine Regional Park.
