Man, 26, Fatally Shot in Alley

PANORAMA CITY — A 26-year-old man was shot to death in an alley Thursday morning, Los Angeles police said.
Johnny Freeman Jr. of Panorama City was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.
The shooting occurred about 7 a.m. near the 14300 block of Roscoe Boulevard, Detective Stephen Fisk said.
Investigators said witnesses told them that as Freeman was walking in the alley, a medium-sized red four-door car drove up behind him. A man emerged, shot Freeman at least once, got back in the car and drove away, Fisk said.
Police have no suspects and know of no motive. Detectives do not believe that Freeman was in a gang.
