GLENDALE : Victims May Claim Stolen Valuables

More than 100 stolen TVs, VCRs, car stereos and other valuables recovered by the Glendale Police Department will be put on display next week for their owners to claim.
From 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, victims of residential burglaries will have an opportunity to look at the items, and if they recognize anything that belongs to them, claim their property, police said.
“We have power tools, cellular phones, all kinds of things. The only thing we don’t have is jewelry,” said Officer Rod Brooks.
Everything listed in the nine-page inventory of items is believed to have been stolen between April and August, he said.
Robbery victims must call ahead and register for an appointment, police said, and must provide a police report listing the stolen property and a valid ID. Because not all the seized property is known to have been stolen in Glendale, police will admit burglary victims from other communities as well.
Appointments will be scheduled in alphabetical order by name to avoid a large crowd at the police station, Brooks said. For more information, call (818) 548-2097.
