USC’s Anchrum Might Be Out for the Season

Senior forward Tremayne Anchrum might have to sit out the USC basketball season after suffering a knee injury in practice Thursday morning.
Anchrum, who has started 33 games, will have reconstructive surgery today at USC University Hospital after injuring his right knee in a collision with teammate Kirk Homenick.
“It’s unfortunate for Tremayne, especially since he is a senior who was looking toward having a great season,” said USC assistant Charlie Parker, who along with Jack Fertig is coaching the Trojans while Coach George Raveling recovers from injuries suffered in a traffic accident last month.
Anchrum, who averaged 6.3 points and 5.4 rebounds last season, has a redshirt year of eligibility to use.
