SEASON AT A GLANCE: The 6-foot, 180-pound senior leads local Southern Section players in rushing. He has 1,302 yards in 143 carries and has rushed for 18 of his 21 touchdowns. He has rushed for 3,407 in three-year career, a Ranger record.

WEEK AT A GLANCE: Hawkins rushed for 270 yards in only 13 carries and scored on runs of 37, 67, 29 and 27 yards in a 42-15 victory over Santa Clara. Hawkins passed Bryan Wilkins of Moorpark and Ronney Jenkins of Hueneme to take the area rushing lead. Hawkins is being recruited by several Division I schools. Said Nordhoff Coach Cliff Farrar, “In two years, we have yet to tackle him with one guy in a practice or a scrimmage.”.
