THOUSAND OAKS : Kuwaiti to Speak to World Affairs Group

Kuwait’s ambassador to the United States will visit Ventura County on Saturday to meet with Port Hueneme-based Seabees who served in the Persian Gulf War and local business people whose companies do business with the tiny Arab emirate.
Mohammed Sabah Al-Salim Al-Sabah will be the guest of the Ventura County World Affairs Council at the North Ranch Country Club in Thousand Oaks, said Cindy Cooke, the council’s executive director. Al-Sabah will discuss his country’s ongoing tense relations with neighboring Iraq, Cooke said.
The breakfast meeting will start at 10:30 a.m. The public is invited to attend the meeting. Advance tickets for members are $15, $20 for non-members. Tickets at the door are $25. For information, call 449-9953.
