OUTLOOK
Higgins takes over at Bethel Baptist, replacing Wanda Garcia, whose teams went 6-33 in two years. Higgins might have a little better luck because four starters return from last season’s team. Height is the main concern for Bethel Baptist, which has no true center. The tallest player in the lineup is 5-foot-8 Mullikin, who starts for the second consecutive year at post. Cantrell, Farrokh and Williams also return for their second season as starters. The Warriors will need to play tough defense to make up for their lack of size. Along with the experience of their starting four, the Warriors are also bringing in a promising group of freshmen who should be able to help them improve on last season’s fifth-place finish.
