Cimco Inc. Reports Loss of $542,000

Cimco Inc., a Costa Mesa manufacturer of plastic components for commercial, industrial and medical markets reported a loss of $542,000, or 18 cents a share, for its second fiscal quarter ended Oct. 31. That contrasted with a profit of $27,000, or 1 cent a share, for the same period a year earlier.

Sales rose 9% to $20.3 million from $18.6 million. For the first half of its fiscal year, the company posted a loss of $1.1 million, or 37 cents a share, contrasted with profit of $134,000, or 5 cents a share, for the same period a year earlier.

Six-month sales were up 2% to $38.5 million from $37.9 million, the company said.
