FOUNTAIN VALLEY — A gunman robbed a local movie theater of about $800 Sunday night, police said.
The suspect showed a handgun tucked in his waistband and demanded cash from the clerk at the Edwards Cinema in the 16100 block of Brookhurst Street, said Sgt. Dann Bean. The robber fled behind the theater. No one was hurt in the 8 p.m. incident, Bean said.
The suspect was described as a Latino, about 20 years old, 5-feet-6 and 160 pounds. He was wearing a dark, hooded jacket with a light-blue diamond design on the back, black jeans and tennis shoes, Bean said.
