San Clemente Coach Mary Mulligan says Ela has her permission to take three-point shots any time she is open. Last Tuesday, Ela came through in a big way, making eight to break her school record by two in a 61-53 victory over Trabuco Hills. With her team trailing by six in the fourth quarter, she made consecutive three-pointers to tie the score and finished with a season-high 32 points. Thursday, she made only one of 10 three-point attempts but had seven points and nine assists and made two free throws with 20 seconds left to give the Tritons a 57-55 victory over Dana Hills.
