Warner Bros. Announces New Cable Channel: The Time Warner subsidiary said it will introduce its first cable TV network for the international marketplace in mid-1995, drawing heavily on Warner Bros. animation and family-oriented programs from its film library. WBTV-The Warner Channel will be introduced in Latin America and Brazil in late April or May, with a full launch expected by the end of summer. Warner Bros. executives would not project a break-even date. The new channel will be distributed by HBO Ole Partners, which will hold a minority stake in the service.
