Tired of Waiting for an Insurance Policy
If prescience were the status quo, everyone would have had earthquake insurance. For those of us who did not, the error has become a monster. Not only do many of our repairs remain undone, but there are endless nights worrying about financial disaster if another quake were to hit? Why? Because now insurance isn’t for sale.
The insurance industry has us where they want us. Their guy is in charge and their guy, according to your editorial of Jan. 6, is waiting for “more creative insurance products to become available.” How long do we have to wait? How long is long enough? It’s been a year--that’s long enough! It’s time for the uninsured public to demand a solution, albeit temporary, until “more creative products become available.” We’re mad as hell and . . . well, you’ve got the picture.
