Mater Dei, Sophomore
Soccer/Defender
Hoback came up big in the two games the Monarchs needed to win for their second consecutive South Coast League title. A stopper who takes most of Mater Dei’s free and penalty kicks, Hoback accounted for all of the Monarchs’ goals in a 2-1 victory over Mission Viejo and a 2-0 victory over Capistrano Valley. Against the Diablos, her corner kick bounced off a Mission Viejo player and into the net and she scored on a free kick from 20 yards. Against the Cougars, she had a goal and an assist off corner kicks.
