SOUTHERN SECTION BOYS’ BASKETBALL ROUNDUP : Leasau Leads Calvary Chapel Past St. Monica

Isacc Leasau scored 25 points and had 12 rebounds to lead Calvary Chapel to a 72-58 victory over Santa Monica St. Monica in a first-round Southern Section Division IV-A boys’ basketball game Friday.
Kevin Falconer had 22 points for Calvary Chapel (21-7), which will play Gardena Serra in the second round.
In another Division IV-A game:
Whittier Christian 69, Riverside Notre Dame 51--Trevor Ream scored 13 points and Edward Zieman and Kevin Berry each scored 12 points for visiting Whittier Christian (16-10).
In Division V-AA:
St. Margaret’s 90, Sherman Oaks Buckley 32--Damian Raibon scored 25 points and Kris Scubla had 10 points and 10 rebounds for St. Margaret’s (20-4).
Southern California Christian 63, Chino Hills Boys’ Republic 60--Brian Mendenhall scored 33 points, including four three-pointers, for visiting Southern California Christian (16-7). Bret Lautt added 16 for the Flames. Josh Cameron, the county scoring leader at 29.6 points a game, sat out of the game with a sprained ankle.
