BOYS’ ROUNDUP : DIVISION 3-A

Birmingham 55, Marshall 42--Johnny Diep had 17 points to lead Marshall in a City Section 3-A Division playoff game.

Marshall made a late run at the Bears, but Scott Le Winter hit six of seven free throws down the stretch at Birmingham. Le Winter had 14 points.

Poly 62, Huntington Park 54--George Lara scored 19 points and Kevin Garcia had 14, but the Spartans fell short in a City Section 3-A Division playoff game.

Jaime Cerna had 14 points, nine rebounds and seven blocked shots; Jonny Lopez had 14 points and 10 rebounds, and Polo Gonzalez added 15 points and six assists for the Parrots at Poly.

Granada Hills 63, Roosevelt 55--Ernest Quinley had four of his 16 points in overtime as Granada Hills won a City 3-A first-round game at Roosevelt.

Miguel Prado had 15 points and Fernie Delgadillo added 12 for Roosevelt, which reached the City 3-A finals last season.
