SEASON AT A GLANCE: James is the primary reason the Crusaders advanced to the State playoffs last season and are seeded third in Division IV-A this season. The Times’ All-Valley guard/forward is among regional leaders in five statistical categories. James is averaging 20 points, nine rebounds, 7.4 assists, five steals and 2.8 blocked shots. She led Village Christian to its third consecutive Alpha League title. Her team has not lost a league game in three seasons.
WEEK AT A GLANCE: James scored 31 points, including two free throws with four seconds left in overtime, in Village Christian’s 73-72 victory over Whittier Christian Saturday in the quarterfinals. She also had seven assists and four steals. James had 22 points, nine assists and nine steals in the first half of a 119-16 rout of first-round opponent St. Matthias on Wednesday night.
