It was almost too easy for Anwan Jones.
The junior forward scored all but one of his 27 points from the lane as Montclair Prep rolled to a 74-57 victory over Campbell Hall in a Division V-AA second-round game Tuesday night at Campbell Hall.
“It was complete domination, that’s what it was,” Montclair Prep Coach Howard Abrams said. “He did everything.”
When he wasn’t scoring, Jones was crashing the boards. He finished with 17 rebounds, 12 on the offensive end. Montclair Prep outrebounded the Vikings, 45-23.
Akil Anderson had 16 points and seven assists for the Mounties, who led, 40-24, at halftime.
Demetrius Ingram scored 14 points--including four three-point baskets--for defending champion Campbell Hall (12-15).
Scott Stark’s fallaway jumper capped a 13-2 run to open the game for the Mounties.
Campbell Hall, which committed 17 turnovers, never drew closer than 14 points in the second half.
