Multimedia Explores Options, Including Possible Sale: The Greenville, S.C.-based media company said it is looking at several ways to boost its stock price and that it has hired Goldman, Sachs & Co. to advise on possible spinoffs or sales. “Our stock price has been sort of dormant for a while,” Multimedia Chief Financial Officer Robert E. Hamby Jr. said. “We think we have the responsibility to increase value to our shareholders.” Multimedia owns newspapers, broadcasting stations and cable television and security systems. It also produces Sally Jessy Raphael’s and Rush Limbaugh’s talk shows, among others, and NewsTalk Television.
