Frank E. Harvey, a longtime Ventura County resident and retired building contractor, died Monday after a brief illness. He was 80.
The Oxnard resident had worked for Ventura County as a building contractor, a business he devoted 50 years of his life to.
He was a native of North Dakota.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Oxnard.
Harvey is survived by his two sons, Frank Harvey Jr. of San Antonio, Tex., and Robert Harvey of Great Falls, Va.; a sister, Alice Weeks of Salem, Ore.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday at the Old North Church on the grounds of Forest Lawn Cemetery in the Hollywood Hills. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 Friday at the Forest Lawn Mortuary. Arrangements are being handled by the Joseph P. Reardon Funeral Home.
