MISSION HILLS — One man was shot to death and two others wounded Wednesday by a gunman who went on a shooting rampage near a condominium swimming pool, police said.
One victim was pronounced dead at the scene, said Brian Humphrey, spokesman for the Los Angeles City Fire Department.
A 20-year-old man was taken to Holy Cross Medical Center in critical condition with three gunshot wounds, one to the stomach and one in each leg, Humphrey said.
The other injured man was being treated at Granada Hills Hospital for a hand wound.
The gunman remained at large Wednesday night, Los Angeles police said.
Police, who would not identify any of the victims, were called to the condo in the 15000 block of Chatsworth Street near Lemona Avenue just after 7:30 p.m.
“There are signs there was drinking and an argument,” said Police Sgt. Stephanie Tisdale, of the Foothill Division.
