MOVE IT ON OVER: Now that the Grammy show is done, telecast producer Pierre Cossette is concentrating on his next project, “Hank,” a Broadway musical based on the life of country icon Hank Williams. Cossette, who entered the Broadway market a few years ago with the hit “The Will Rogers Follies,” hopes to have the new production on the Great White Way by the end of the year. The play was written by Bill Kerby, who co-wrote the screenplay for “The Rose,” the 1980 movie starring Bette Midler and loosely based on the life of Janis Joplin.

Cossette says that he’s hoping to sign a well-known country performer who also has acting experience and the right “haunted” quality to play Williams, who died of a drug- and alcohol-related heart attack on New Year’s Day, 1953, at age 29.

At the top of his wish list: Dwight Yoakam and Lyle Lovett.
