Residents Can Apply to Be on Safety Panel

CYPRESS — City government is seeking applicants for a new citizens’ advisory group to be called the Community Safety Advisory Committee.
The City Council recently voted to create the new citizens’ panel. The committee will provide the council advice and information on such topics as Neighborhood Watch, gangs, drug abuse, emergency services and disaster preparedness.
Residents may obtain applications at the Personnel Office in City Hall, 5275 Orange Ave. Completed applications must be returned by April 30.
