Veterans can get help finding a job at a new center in Redondo Beach.
Vietnam Veterans of America Inc. and the California Employment Development Department are co-sponsoring the Veterans Job Center at 412 Camino Real.
Any veteran may use the center, which will provide services such as resume coaching, career counseling and interview techniques. Veterans may also get referrals to other social service agencies through the Job Center.
“There will be an emphasis on getting someone job-ready,” said Judy Navarro, President of the South Bay Chapter of the Vietnam Veterans of America, a nonprofit organization founded in 1978.
The Veterans Job Center is open Wednesdays from 1 to 4 p.m. For more information, call (310) 540-8820.
