Group to Place Interns With Area Businesses

The Foothill Private Industry Council is looking for local businesses willing to provide summer internships to low-income youths between the ages of 14 and 21 who live in Pasadena, Monrovia, Arcadia, Duarte, South Pasadena and Sierra Madre.
The council will subsidize nine weeks of on-the-job training, providing work experience and counseling. Wages will depend on skills and age. The deadline for firms to enroll is April 30.
