Youth, 19, Found Shot to Death in Driveway of Home

SANTA ANA — A 19-year-old was found shot to death Wednesday morning in a driveway on West 1st Street, police said.
Roger Castro of Santa Ana, whom police identified as a gang member, was shot in the upper body about 10 a.m., Police Sgt. Jim McDaniel said. Officers responding to a “shots fired” call found him in front of a house in the 1100 block. Castro, who did not live at the address, died at the scene, McDaniel said.
The slaying is being investigated as a homicide by police gang unit investigators. No arrests have been made, and investigators did not recover any weapons at the scene.
