Thomas and Barbara Peckenpaugh, art collectors from Corona del Mar, have donated 267 photographs to the University Art Museum at Cal State Long Beach, their alma mater. This group of prints--the largest single gift ever received by the museum--includes work by such well-known photographers as Marion Post Wolcott, Sabastiao Salgado, Paul Caponigro and Bernard Plossu as well as a portfolio by Laurie Brown of Laguna Beach plus Pulitzer Prize-winning photographs of the 1984 Olympics.
