Clash of Views on the School Board

Re: “Supt. Weis Takes Aim at Board Majority” (April 13). The report of this meeting both missed and trivialized the most important element of the event.
There was a strong and pervasive concern for our children’s education. Our children’s trust in us as parents and educators is sacred and precious. It should not be violated by selfish, self-righteous and narrow, rigid school board members who are using the school board in a way that surely violates the trust of the very children they should be serving.
Education must include the basic respect of open-minded learning, not forcing unquestioning beliefs on our children.
