Is it possible to cheer over cookware? At the International Housewares Show in Chicago this past January, it was a color, not a new gadget, that got the crowd’s hurrahs at the Le Creuset booth. Flame orange was back.
That’s the color most people associate with the classic cast-iron cookware from France. Now that earth tones are making a comeback--last year the company added saffron (aka gold) to its line--Le Creuset decided the time is right for a flame revival. “People just demanded it,” said a Le Creuset spokesperson. The new orange pots should be in stores now wherever Le Creuset is sold.
