Newport Corp.: The Irvine manufacturer and distributor of precision equipment said Tuesday that it has become the exclusive North American distributor of an active vibration control system that is engineered and manufactured by Barry Controls, a unit of Applied Power Inc. The system is designed for use in semiconductor fabrication facilities. An agreement between the two companies also calls for joint development of related products.
