Newport Rowing Regatta Scheduled for Sunday

NEWPORT BEACH — Orange Coast College plays host to the 30th Newport Invitational Rowing Regatta starting at 8 a.m. Sunday on North Lido Channel.
Orange Coast will be looking for its 10th consecutive Palmer Cup, which goes to the team earning the most points in the event’s seven races.
The competition starts with a new event, the Collins Cup, which features women’s teams.
Among the teams competing besides Orange Coast are: UC Irvine, Cal, San Diego State, UCLA, and UC Santa Barbara.
