REGION : Water Suppliers to Hold Seminar

The Southeast area’s main water suppliers will explain how the region receives water and how rates are determined in a forum Wednesday in the community center of Rio San Gabriel Park in Downey.
The free 7 p.m. seminar, called “Water Works,” will include members of the Central Basin Municipal Water District, the Water Replenishment District and the Southern California Metropolitan Water District, which combined serve the 25 cities located in southeast Los Angeles County.
District representatives will give a brief overview on the function of the water districts. The park is at 9612 Ardine St. Information: (310) 217-2222, Ext. 216.
