Runaway Held After Stolen Car Kills Man

WESTMINSTER — A 15-year-old runaway was being held in connection with manslaughter Sunday after the stolen Mercedes she was driving rammed into another car, killing a 33-year-old Westminster man.
Police said the stolen car was seen speeding and swerving on Milton Street at about 11:30 p.m. Saturday. Officers chased the driver and saw her run a stop sign at Sioux Iroquois roads, colliding with another car.
The victim, identified by coroner’s officials as Manuel Macias, was taken to UC Irvine Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The girl suffered head injuries in the collision and also was taken to UCI Medical Center.
