Award: Honor Goes to Cancer Researcher

Breast cancer researcher Dr. Susan Love, director of the UCLA Breast Center, will be presented with a Spirit of Achievement award by a national women’s organization.
The award, presented by the National Women’s Division of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University, was created to honor accomplished women in their careers.
Dr. Love, author of “Dr. Susan Love’s Breast Book,” was one of the first advocates for early diagnosis and treatment of the disease. She is also one of the founders of the National Breast Cancer Coalition, a national lobbying organization focused on increasing funding for breast cancer research.
