NEWPORT BEACH : Student Art Picked for 1996 Calendar

The artwork of students from several Newport Beach schools has been selected to illustrate the city Environmental Quality Affairs Committee’s 1996 calendar.
The youths’ ecology-themed posters were displayed at the Earth Day celebration on Shellmaker Island, and the youngsters received certificates from the City Council.
Cory Monji, a fifth-grader at Andersen Elementary, won the poster cover award.
Other winners were Robin Seynour, Hayley Sheetz, Marie Turner, Bobby Messenger, Katie McKitterick, Ashley Chandler, Jaclyn Lineback, Laura Peck, Elaina Hanna, Irene McClure, Sarah Buck and Jason Schwartz.
