Town Meeting Planned on Community Center

A town meeting over a proposed community center is scheduled at the Rancho Santa Margarita Library on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
Backers hope to gather support for the 28,000-square-foot facility, which would be called the Rancho Trabuco Community Center. It would include space for youth activities and recreation, offer low-rent office space for nonprofit groups and provide a public banquet facility.
“The town meeting is the first effort to initiate conversation, response and a call to action from the community to get on board with the Rancho Trabuco Community Center effort,” said Terry Wedel, a member of the Trabuco Presbyterian Church, which is heading the drive to build the community center.
