Edison’s O’Bric Wins State Heptathlon Title

Edison’s Kerry O’Bric won four of seven events to win the State High School Heptathlon title Friday and Saturday at Mt. San Antonio College.
O’Bric, who finished with 4,542 points, won the shot put (33 feet 10 inches), 200 meters (26.1 seconds), long jump (18-2 1/2) and the javelin (100-0).
O’Bric’s score is the fifth best in the history of the meet.
Edison teammate Erin Zimmon was fifth with 3,422 points.
