Long Beach principal Sandy Blazer took a dive for education--off a 220-foot-high bungee tower at the Queen Mary--in a deal that prompted students and parents to write essays about fears they had conquered.
About 500 students, parents and teachers turned out over the weekend to see the first-year principal at Minnie Gant Elementary School fulfill her part of the bargain--and conquer her own fears.
