FILLMORE : Golfer Files Suit Over Broken Wrist

A Los Angeles man is suing the owners of a Fillmore golf course, contending they were at fault when he broke his wrist after slipping on a cart path.
Jack William Valensky said he was walking to the second tee at the Elkins Ranch Golf Course on Oct. 1 when he fell and broke his wrist. He was wearing golf cleats and contends the cement path was not properly scored to ensure traction.
“We’re not seeking anything tremendous,” said Paul Ahles, Valensky’s attorney. Valensky, who owns a hardware store, is seeking unspecified damages.
The suit was filed in Ventura County Superior Court.
