CRENSHAW : Gallery Offers Arts Instruction

The Black Gallery, 107 Santa Barbara Plaza, is hosting two intensive weekend arts workshops.
A photography workshop, “Intermediate to Advanced Class on Portrait Lighting,” is 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. today.
Class leader Todd Gray will demonstrate techniques with natural and artificial light. Participants should bring cameras with a flash. The $50 fee includes lunch, film and processing.
Quilter Dorothy Taylor, one of three artists featured in the gallery’s exhibit “Story Quilts: Photography and Beyond,” will teach adult students how to create quilt squares in a workshop from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday.
The workshop is free, but reservations are required.
