Budgeting Workshops Offered: Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Los Angeles is launching its summer workshop program on Tuesday with “Budgeting 101.” The workshop, which explains how to set up a budget and use money management techniques, will be held at the counseling service’s Torrance office on Tuesday, in Pasadena on Wednesday, Burbank on Thursday and Downtown Los Angeles on Saturday. The Los Angeles location will also feature sessions titled “How to Have a Thrifty Wedding” on Aug. 12 and “Mind Over Money,” on gaining control over spending, on Aug. 5. The Torrance office will offer “Mind Over Money” on Aug. 8. All of the workshops are free. Call the CCCS Education Department at (213) 890-9517 for times and to register.
