Dixie Kee, a Port Hueneme resident and former medical assistant, died Saturday at the age of 59.
Kee was born near Shreveport, La., but grew up in Ventura, her husband, Albert Kee, said.
She worked at several local doctors’ offices, most recently with a dermatologist in Oxnard.
Married three times, Dixie met Albert when he was coaching her son’s Little League team. They married in 1977. “I don’t think anybody who met her disliked her,” he said.
She also is survived by two daughters, Dixie Elkins of Port Hueneme and Robin Hobbs of the San Diego area; a son, James Iman of Port Hueneme, and five grandchildren. Other survivors include her sisters, Sue Schutte of Ventura and Dena Kirkwood of Riverside, and a brother, Jerry Morgan of Ventura.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by James A. Reardon Mortuary of Oxnard.
