WESTMINSTER — A consumer-awareness seminar aimed at senior citizens will be offered Friday at the Westminster Senior Center.
The seminar, “Consumer Power . . . Taking Control” will be given by officials from the state Department of Aging and will address legal issues, provide general consumer information and give specific insurance product information.
Seniors often find themselves bombarded with advertisements of products that claim to make their lives more enjoyable--from travel to insurance and health care packages. But determining which ones are good, and which ones are too good to be true, can be difficult, organizers of the seminar said.
The event will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at 8200 Westminster Blvd. Information: (714) 895-2878.
