Woman Killed as Car Hits Tree

LAKE VIEW TERRACE — A 28-year-old woman was killed early Thursday when her car crashed into a tree, overturned and rolled on her, police said.
Kristin Bregel of Granada Hills was headed west on Osbourne Street near Garrick Street at 12:05 a.m. when her 1994 Geo Prism struck a tree, said Officer Bill Rice of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Bregel was partially ejected from her car and it overturned on her, said Rice. It was not known why she crashed, Rice said.
