Kellogg May Close California Plant: The Battle Creek, Mich.-based food firm said it may close its cereal manufacturing plant in San Leandro, Calif., which would result in an annual pretax savings of at least $20 million. Kellogg Co. said it will make a final decision in about two months, after discussions with the union representing the plant’s hourly workers. The plant employs 325 people.
