Jewish Family Service of Los Angeles has two programs for volunteers seeking to help elderly people.
One program, called Jewish Elder-Care Corps, matches volunteers with people of all faiths living in nursing homes or board and care facilities.
The other volunteer program, Project Caring, aims at bringing Jewish culture and celebrations to nursing home residents.
Volunteer training is provided for both programs. Hours of participation are flexible. For more information, call (818) 905-2125.
