CAMARILLO : New After-School Program Planned

An after-school program for Camarillo youths will start Sept. 6 at Camarillo Community Center.
The program, called Kid Connection, is open to students from kindergarten through sixth grade. Activities will include games, sports, nature events, arts, crafts, drama and homework study periods.
The fully supervised program will take place from 2 to 6 p.m. at the community center, 1605 E. Burnley St. Cost is $60 for 10 days, $45 for six days or $40 for four days.
Children will be picked up from Bedford, El Descanso and Valle Lindo schools and escorted to the community center.
During winter and spring breaks, Kid Connection will be offered from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. The cost will be $65 for five days.
Parents can register children at the Pleasant Valley Recreation and Park District administrative office, 1605 E. Burnley St., Camarillo. For more information, call the district at 482-1996.
