Van Nuys : 2 Injured in Crash With Police Cruiser

A police car was involved in a three-car traffic collision Wednesday, slightly injuring one officer and a female motorist, police said.
The accident occured about 2:10 p.m. on Vanowen Street west of Sepulveda Boulevard, when a westbound car crossed into the eastbound lane and struck another vehicle, Los Angeles Police Lt. Al Dravidzius said. The second vehicle spun out of control and smacked into the front end of an eastbound police cruiser.
The driver of the second car and one officer were taken to Valley Presbyterian Hospital with minor injuries, said Dravidzius. The officer was treated and released.
The names of the injured were not released.
